On the 12th of January 1867, Japan and Denmark created a treaty of friendship, commerce and navigation. In 2017, our two countries celebrated the 150th anniversary of our unique cultural bond. With this fortuitous timing, Polar Jewelry decided to dedicate their first collection to a country that remains a constant source of creative inspiration.
From the sublime subtly of the traditional Japanese garden, to the hyperreal imagery of manga comic books, Polar Jewelry has created a hybrid collection in tribute to this towering aesthetic culture. The items featured revolve around the natural and everyday iconography of Japan, such as sakura flowers, koi fish, fans and omamori.
