Herieth Paul x Polar Jewelry

The new collection is a collaboration between Tanzanian supermodel, Herieth Paul & Polar Jewelry that celebrates friendship across the globe and is a personal collection, reflecting on memories, new beginnings, and the magic, power and beauty of motherhood. Herieth Paul is one of the world’s top supermodels and she’s been the face of Armani, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and almost any other top designer you can think of - including multiple appearances on one of the biggest fashion stages in the world - the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Herieth Paul is a supermodel born in Tanzania and raised in Canada. The collection is inspired by Herieth’s cross-cultural upbringing, what she finds important in her life and her own experience of becoming a first time mother. Herieth named all the pieces in her native language of Kiswahili. Furaha is a Kiswahili word that means ‘happiness, joy, jollity’. For Herieth, the word perfectly captures the experience of starting a family and makes her feel linked to her maternal ancestors.

The collection is also inspired by the breath-taking natural beauty of Tanzania, whether that is its sun-soaked savannahs, the majesty of Kilimanjaro or the crystal blue waters of Zanzibar.

Polar Jewelry has always admired Herieth Paul and have been collaborating across social media since 2018 and quickly found that they shared the same values. As a supermodel, Herieth Paul has worn some of the most striking jewelry in the world, but she has always had a passion for jewelry-making and design. The collaboration and collection is the culmination of this passion.

Through her mother’s philanthropic work, Herieth has learned the values of giving back to society and has worked with many non-profit organizations. She has raised funds for multiple causes including health insurance for orphaned children and creation of clean water wells for different communities in Tanzania. Polar Jewelry and Herieth believe in giving back. That is why 15% of the profits from the collection will be donated to the NGO, St. Mary’s Home / Maison Sainte-Marie, whose mission is building on the strength of young pregnant women, young parents and their children.
